You are looking to purchase an adult owned, lightly used original playstation one system PS1 console. Purchased new, stopped using when I got a new Playstation 2 for Christmas, was cleaning out basement and found my long lost system. Don't have the original box, or a controller or the A/V cables, but do have the power cord. Model # is SCPH-1001. Made in Japan. System is in excellent condition, very minor signs of use or wear. All buttons work, the hatch door functions properly, nothing is damaged or broken on this console, and it is in very clean condition.

This is the VERY 1ST PS(NOT THE PS1,alot of people confuse this; SONY'S FAULT)look at pic #4 on the left there is an exp. slot(that was made for the gameshark plug-in,NEVER DID IT AGAIN.. I GOT $150.00 FOR MINE,these are rare finds.

Hey there! I want to thank you for clarifying that for me. This is in fact the original Playstation system, model SCPH-1001, serial # U5631753. And I didn't even know about the expansion slot back there, I never removed the cover. I am the original owner of this system is was purchased brand new when it first was released. Over the years I guess the box was misplaced or thrown away, and the controllers were lost of thrown out Most importantly though is that it's a perfectly working system with no issues, I just stopped using it when I got my PS2 system. Now I have a PS3 and will be soon going for the PS4. Thanks again and good luck to all the bidders on this, I am happy I can be able to give this system a new home to where it will be used instead of sitting around collecting dust.
