Word, powerpoint, and excel are all Microsoft licensed programs. This is just a generic office suite similar to those but much more outdated. This was built for 95-2000 Windows, but works with all OSs before 95 and I believe it works with XP as well. I do not think it will work on Vista/7 without a workaround, but I have not tested this.
