Apple Brand Lightning to USB Cable

This cable is for the newest generation iPhones (iPhone 5) and iPads (iPad mini) that require the lightning connector for charging and/or syncing data. NOTE: This will NOT work with the iPhone 4/4S, iPad 2 (possibly the 3rd as well - however I'm not 100% which cable it requires), or earlier generations. Basically if the cable you currently use has the wide end, this one wont work - it's only for the newest versions that Apple switched the connection ports on.

This has only been used once - I had to fly out of state a week ago and forgot my cable at home so I had to purchase another to use while I was away. Now that I'm back home, I no longer need it.

This accessory is compatible with the following:

iPhone 5

iPod touch
5th generation

iPod nano
7th generation

iPad
4th generation

iPad mini

Those are all the devices it can charge.

There is a difference between the ipad 4th gen and the i pad mini.

The size of course
The ipad mini is cheaper than the ipad 2 regular size with 16gb.
Ipad mini is the exact same reflection of the ipad 2 just the size is different.
The ipad 4 has retina display and the ipad mini doesnt.
Ipad 4 has 4g LTE and the ipad mini only has 3g. (I have the Ipad 4th gen with 4g LTE)
Ipad 4 has the A6X chip while the ipad mini has the a6x chip.

Yep now you're just speaking gibberish....lol - I'm terrible with understanding all of that stuff. I took a computer systems technology class in college and - holy crap - I was lost the second they started getting into LAN and all of the stuff that is associated with it. Lol. I have a basic understanding but nothing to brag about whatsoever...haha.

It won't work with iPad 3; it has a 30-pin connector.

I'm not sure how much it'd cost to ship to ship to Canada - but if you'd give me a general idea of where you're at I can look it up and worst case, maybe we could go half on the shipping - only if its a high shipping cost

It's a little over 3ft - this is the standard cable that's included when you initially buy the iPhone 5 and iPad mini. I do have some 6ft lightning connectors; however, they're not Apple brand - but work just as well :) if you're interested just let me know :)

You're right - this is NOT extended. It's just like the normal one you received when you bought the iPhone 5, iPod 5 (thank you for mentioning that one - I wasn't very sure what all generations now take the lightning), and/or the iPad Mini.

However, I do have 6ft lightning connector cables but they're not made by Apple - if you'd be interested let me know :)

I actually listen to a couple of podcasts where the host is in and from Ottawa - not sure if you're familiar with him or not - Brent Holland's Fright Night. I believe his show is actually aired via radio broadcast up there.

But anyway, lol, I think the shipping will come to about $6.05 if I send it first class mail so that's not extremely terrible and if you do win I'll go ahead ship it to you for free instead of going half :)

This might be a dumb question...haha - but there is a difference between the iPad 4 and the iPad mini, right? If so, then this will charge the iPhone 5, iPad 4, and iPad mini (that's what I had to buy this connector for because I left the connector that came with the mini at home when I had to fly out of state a couple weeks ago). But thank you so much for letting me know about the iPad 4 - do you know if any of the new iPods now take the lightning connector?
