Not sure, and it doesn't specifically say on the box. One side I know is to hook up to a computer, a regular USB connection. The other end is more like a square than the USB rectangle (I hope that makes sense!). It says the following on the package:

Male to female is always good but what this particular item is : USB 2.0 Male to Male printer cable.....wow I had a sit down with these cables and they promised to be straight.
