This is just a Samsung galaxy note. The new one out. I use a Nikon d80 -90 when I take my other photos not auction. :)

Thank you very much for all of your help on the photog! I do have a smartphone, and it takes great pics. And I have noticed I rarely need to do any editing on those photos. Now it is a lot different with my Canon PowerShot...I can't remember it all right now. It's a great camera, but I would like more mp's. It is 12.1 and I want more like an 18+.

Your ring is doing very well, but still not quite what it's going to finish up at!! Hope it goes 'to da moon!!

Awe thank you sweetie. I love my Nikon but I have to crop photos a lot on something like this. I would start playing around with editing lol. The diamond cocktail ring I'm going to put on ebay I need to edit so you get the full luster. I use my Nikon on that. I love my Samsung note phone but I can't seem to get full effect.
I love talking photos and cameras lol. Any tips you can give please do :)

I just wish I could find the perfect medium for my jewelry shots. Maybe I should just keep using my professional photographer's lightbox. It does seem to bring out more sparkle and shine with less shadows, as the light is, of course, diffused,

The Samsung is my phone lol. I don't use my professional cameras on auctions. I always shoot in manual and I start getting way to picky lol. I just set a blanket on a chair at dusk or dawn and take close ups with my phone. Much easier to transfer, no editing etc. Your photos are fabulous! A light box is a great tool for jewelry photos. You never have to worry about lighting lol. If your phone is a smart phone just set the camera to portraits or night depending on the effect you want. I'm all about easy when it comes to listing lol.
My scenic shots I use my nikons with assortments of lenses. My fav is the 55/200vr. I mentioned I shoot in manual. I don't follow rules. I just shoot in different fstops etc until I get the look I'm after. I LOVE scenic, we do 14 day road trips with no time set. We just go until we start to get tired then call a rewards number and find a hotel lol. Its so much fun not looking at your watch. You miss so much, we have learned to use this time to slow down and enjoy Gods work :)
