it is only worth Less than half of the $175 you have it estimated at.
and hope it doesn't have a stain on it like the other one you have, it will drop way in price.
Good Luck to you, hope you get what you want for it.
You should Probably drop the GIN to around 10,000 to 12,000 for Get it Now!

Ok, to the haters out there. Including the ones who create accounts just to comment.

Even if you cut the value of this to $50, which is WAY off, it would still be a 50k GIN. If you think I'm going to give away a $100+ book for 10k? Yer NUTZ!

I have collected comics for over 35 years. I have been very fortunate and been able to acquire some really nice books in my collection, including Iron Man 1, a full run of X-Men from 1-300 with a few fill-ins still needed, Flash Comics 1, Amazing Spider-man 2-400, etc. Along with A LOT of duplicates of great issues.

I thought I would pass on some decent books in high grades that you don't come by everyday. I can't afford to slab every book I have in my own collection much less ones I am planning on selling. Just Like i can't afford a mint copy of Amazing #1 at 15k plus.

If you don't like the GIN, then bid! If you can't afford the GIN, then BID! If you don't want to bid, it's a free country. :)

Looked it up on Comic priceguide.com and it is Worth Only $50 even if it is somehow a 9.8 condition.
Comic book realm it is vauled at $80.
Those are 2 pretty good comic book price guides.
So it would range from $50 to $80 at a 9.8 condition.
Not $175, Where are you getting the Price at.
I hope not on ebay.

it has no stain. The stain is on the Amazing Spider-man which is the GIN bonus.

and yer not looking at Comics Price guide.com correctly, or your comment would have been more accurate. :)

Nice listing.
I have 3 copies of this myself...and I still dont think I could put it up here...lol
Good Luck.

Side note.
The guy that was endorsing PGX for comic grading...really? The company was outed scamming people over and over again. Daniel Patterson (owner) is not an honest guy by any measure of the word. Tons of proof out there. And as far that goes you shouldn't slab my books anyway...they were meant to be enjoyed....not entombed.

like i said, I don't care for any of the grading/slabbing services. I want to be able to actually see/touch/smell mo comics. Maybe re-read them. And I know a guy who bought a nm/m copy of xmen #1 on another site. Paid 1400 for it. Turned around and graded it and re-sold it for 3400. I just don't think it's right. Same book. Same grade. just had a .5,.6,.7,etc after it. but that's just me

comic book publishers have ruined many of the markets by pushing less than great off charater comics and flooding the market with mor than the commuinty can use , Bought 2500 comics 3 yrs ago for .05 cents each most had $3 to $5 price tag and many had never been touched without gloves... . Because the comic industry go greedy . You can usually know the main Super heros will always have value. and that is why the Comic industry did not go completly broke...( and STAN LEE HELPED PERK UP the industry) even though he more strange than I am

aside from the walking dead and a few others, i pretty much stopped collecting new stuff 10 years ago. I got tired of all the foil covers, and 10 variant covers nonsense. I stick with pre-1985 for the most part now. :)

OMG! I go through the same BS on EBAY! As far as price guide values you an through them out the window, they don't mean a thing. I'll pay 2x guide today for a NM copy of Superman #1, Action #1, Detctive #27, FF #!, Am. Fantasy #!5, ANY KEY books!
Overstreet says a NM detective #27 is worth about $250,000.
Last year a copy in NM 9.2/4 (?) sole for 2.2 million!!! When Spidey #252 came out I ordered 200 copies for mty store, and my partners raised hell, I'd increased the order from our usual 50-75 copies because I'd read the Diamond preveiw! We sold out of every copy by the weekend! I had to re-order another 200 and that didn't meet the demand You'd think I'd have kept a copy, but nooo... didn't keep any of my ECs or golden-age like Batman #3 I had either! Looking back I wished I'd gotten rid of the wife instead of the comics! But you live and hopefully learn, my present wife know better then to use the funny books for dog paper!!! I prefer PGX to CGC anyday! I know the owner, sold him a bunch of hi-grade golden-age in the past, and he's a really honest stand up guy, Quicker turn around time and 1/2 the cost of CGC!
And if one of the rookie graders bends a page, or accidently danages a book in Sarasota, they will flat out deny it!
Good luck with this aution, Chow..Vince

SORRY but if someone is not going to buy an item anyway why would they complain??? I sold a fiching reel on Ebay listed it for $450 , guy wrote me told me it was only worth $55.00 because everyone else had them for sale for that amount ..Igot $450 for it . VALUE is contingent on whe need want and the amouht of passion Someone has for an item .....bought 1973 harley for 125. it had been out in a garage for 34 years . Offered the guy $1000 . but he insisted it was not his thing and only took $125.. PASSION , KNOWLEDGE RARITY . Like wives or husbands no passion no home life

LOL! loving being a fly on the wall for this one.
I too smell my comics, records etc.
slabs suck
screw book value, this book has a respect factor, much like the 4 frank miller wolverines listed elsewhere on this site as we speak
and props for putting such a phat piece on listia, i'm appreciative. (own 2 though, so good luck bidders) Well worth whatever it may go for, and the seller is good business, a real comic head.

which Flash #1 do you speak of? The first FLASH COMICS came out in 1942, ALL-FLASH followed shortly. Flash shut down at #104 about 1948/50 or so. The silver-age numbering picked up with #105. I did put a full silver-age run together in the past. It was a bear to complete, the toughest issues was not Showcase #4, or #8 as you would think but Showcas #13! Took me forever to get a decent copy of that one! tough issue are #107-109 142,! Take er easy!
