Description

The listing, Make Big Bucks with HUGE Gourds has ended.

An entire flock of birds could move into one of these gourds. They are so large that I could not lift them until they dried. They are making the most beautiful bowls. Look up the price of dried large gourds that are offered on the web, be sure to note the sizes and prices. Ones this size are almost impossible if not impossible to find and crafters will pay big bucks for a dried one, I do mean BIG BUCKS. I have tried in vain to grow what is called bushel gourds, one of the few large gourd seed offered in stores, to no avail. These gourds are viable, the seed is sprouting and doing great.
My friend and I are wildcrafters and foragers, living off the woods, refusing a forty hour work week or punching a clock. We find a lot that we eat, some my friend sells and we also barter our finds. I have been researching items that i can grow on my land and make money off of and this is one of them. Another plant we grow is called jewelweed and i am offering it on another one of my auctions, check it out. I guess I could be raising beef but who wants to be tied down feeding livestock and then butchering them? We do better on a small plot of yard growing our plants that are in biggest demand that bring big bucks. This is one of them. This is NOT a bird house gourd, looks like one, only three times the size of one,
I had a hard time talking the old farmer into parting with one of these gourds to get my stock going. He lives remotely in the Appalachians and grows them for bird houses and wont part with his seed. It took much persuasion to get my only gourd from him to get started.
This auction is for eight seed.

I was just researching prices on gourds, the first site that came up offered 8" gourds, dried, for $23 dollars. Folks, the seed Im offering is much much larger, cant even find any up for offer. Research yourself and see what I mean.

awesome! LOVE all that info cantankerous! I just was thinking---these are probably "Heirloom" seeds too---meaning that they are non-GMO and organic--maybe Amish even? grow baby grow!
