as they issued two of these at different times, does this one have swastika watermarks on the back? If so then this was issued in 1938, if it does not then it was issued in 1942. Thanks.

I can't see a watermark, and I don't have a watermark detector, so I don't know for sure. That's why I didn't put a Scott #. Sorry.

Thanks. Chances are this was issued in '42. Normally you can see the watermark without a whole lot of effort. That's one of the nice things about old Germans!!!

I take that back..... this was actually issued in '38 as the 6 pf issued in 42 was purple in color. I should have looked before asking... duh me!!!
