They were one of the most elegant maker of women's accessories in the '30s and '40s... and, apparently, it is still making ultra-accessories, today.
This matching set is a great example of the slinky gold metal mesh purses, bags, cigarette holders, cosmetic cases, etc. distinct from all others in the 1930s and 1940s.
Both of the pieces in this auction are in good condition (to the eyes of an honest layperson). I can find no serious flaws in the powder mirror and golden mesh cosmetic covers. The metal mesh billfold is lined in a black taffeta/satin that is worn and frayed inside its pocket (as shown in photo).
