How long is the straps that go over your shoulder? Will it adjust to a smaller opening for me to wear it and my cane not get twisted in it?

I didn't ask for the measurements of the purse, I need to know it the shoulder strap can be adjusted to a shorter length. I am disabled and when I can't use my wheelchair, I have to use my cane. Then my purse runs down my arm, and trips me up. Looking for a shorter strap or one that adjusts to smaller.
