Okay, now thats out of the way, this is a hard drive ENCLOSURE. You can buy an internal hard drive (which run cheaper than external HD's) and put it in this case to make an external hard drive.

This is for a laptop hard drive size 2.5". USB2 interface. IDE Hard Drive not SATA. Comes with USB2 cable and carrying pouch with velcro flap.

This is NEW. I opened it and realized I had bought the wrong one (I needed SATA). Because it was opened I could not return without a restocking fee so I'm giving it for free here!

how do you know if its a 2.5 drive?

Its REALLY small. If you want to see the difference, go in a Staples or Best Buy where they have sample drives out. But the basic way to tell is its called a 2.5" drive because that's how wide it is. The whole drive fits in the palm of your hand. A desktop drive is bigger than my hand and would not fit in this casing.

Great! I try to ship free to Canada whenever I can. Its the REALLY heavy ones that I have to charge for because it really ups the price (I'm talking my 20+ lb mystery boxes). But even with those, if the bidding gets high enough, I offer free shipping to Canada. :o)

I'm not home right now, but I will check for you when I get there later tonight and post the answer tomorrow. What I can tell you now is that it DOES look like a display in person, I just don't remember anything saying there was a display. I'll post the answer in the comments but I'll also send you a message with the answer.

Yeah, so I just booked it home (I was only at a friends house 10 minutes away) because I looked at the auction and saw it only had HOURS left instead of days.

Good news, there IS a display. It shows the connection and battery but I don't understand the point of the display to be honest. Its USB powered, so there is no battery except internally and it would only work if it was connected. But, at least we know there IS a display! lol!
