Mario Williams Topps Rookie Premiere Autograph - Damaged Card

This card has creasing at top - most likley caused be someone putting it in there pocket or in shipping. This came to me in collection and I did not notice that the card was damaged. It still has value for the Mario Williams autograph alone, but it is not worth the $120 (Red Ink Variant) book value that beckett says it would be for one in mint.

Think of it as getting an 8x10 but in smaller form as with an 8x10 condition does not matter so much. Again it has creases at the top many small ones hard to see, but they are there and can affect card value so please make sure you understand that before you bid on this. No matter what you will be getting a good year. These were signed at Rookie Photo-shoot with Topps during Mario's Rookie Year.

Uploaded another scan its hard to see the crease as I stated I did not notice until I got it out of the topload. So here is a scan hopefully you can get an idea from that.

um if book is 120 its then still $120 raw now if it get graded i see this coming back as a 8 to a 9 it would increase the value to 150-180

darkmatter, it's a damaged card so it is nowhere close to that $120 value and the creasing damage to the card makes it not even worth grading. It might get a 3 or 4 if graded

I agree with you duwal. Even though an expensive card, card damage can and will drop the price. I was offered $45 for it at a local card show even in the shape it is now. Because of the rareness of the red autograph and the fact that the condition is hard to see unless you use a loop. I think whatever it gets in the auction is its wholesale value and someone may be able to sell it to a Mario collector for a bit more. Thanks for your interest The auction ends Sunday.
