The listing, *beautiful* XL - VINTAGE (70's?) white/bridal Radcliffe Lingerie peignoir nightgown set has ended.

Here we have a lovely ankle length white nightgown/peignoir set with a sheer lightweight overcoat/robe/house coat that matches. pink ribbon is used in just the right amount of moderation as detailing, and the length of the actual nightgown is quite plain below the bust line. Comes with the Nieman Marcus box it was given to me in.

This beautiful piece is being listed quite frankly because it is beautiful! I have kept it safely in the box I received it in for years, always unwilling to take it out and even try it on, because it's too pretty to mess up.

This is absolutely vintage, but I tried and tried and tried to get more detailed info, even a decade, I found no leads for this exact set. I think it is most likely 70's. Yes, the tag says 'M', but the measurements given by my tape measure suggests otherwise (all measurements are 'laid flat'):

Nightgown:
22" armpit to armpit
11" arm opening
25" by hip area
54" shoulder to hem
-fabric provides some stretch

robe/fairy princess fantasy accessory:
22" armpit to armpit
12" across bottom portion of sleeves
8.5" across arm opening
54" long
100% free size at all points, this ties at the top and has plenty of material to wrap around measurements much larger than the garment itself - its only size limitation would be if your arms do not fit

my home is smoke free, and this item has lived snuggled in its box and safely stored away from the feline residents. I have never worn or washed this item, it is in pristine condition - looks brand new!

The important measurements in a vintage item such as this with so much fabric that adds width is the measurement from the armpit to armpit across, then double it. That is where most of the stretch will end. The fact that it is voluminous is just the style, not necessarily meant to allow it to fit larger sizes. These sets were made to be comfortable. The arm hole is also an important measurement in conjunction with the chest measurement. It is beautiful!
