all made in Japan from 1945-1952 is stamped Occupied Japan. Is that handwritten in. Looks kinda like "Occupied Japan" is not stamped but written. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong place. Doesn't matter on the value at all though, as long as it was made in japan it has value=to Occupied Japan.
I collect made in japan and it makes no difference to me whether it is OJ or Nippon or Made in Japan; most Japanese collectors like me feel the same way. If it says Japan on the bottom, I usually buy it.
Yes some collect all made in Japan/ Nippon and others collect certain time periods. As for the marking on the back being legit that is up to you. I took the best picture of it I could for each possible bidder could make there or decision about that. Yes there are fakes out there. I am not an expert by no means. I cam only describe and show the item. Thank you for your comments.
