What you are referring to is the grade of the coin. i.e. G for good, VG for very good, etc. I do not grade coins in this way because I am not an expert. I do provide you with a high resolution scan so you can judge them for yourself. Thanks!

The f below the date is the initial standing for 'Fraser', after the designer, James E Fraser. The mint mark appears on the back of these coins under the words "five cents" This coin has no mint mark.
