This is such a beautiful piece. It is a vintage Brass and abalone trinket, jewelry box. Adorned on all sides with elephants, and abalone squares. No writing. Everything seems to be very secure. No loose pieces. Please feel free to ask questions before bidding.

Don't worry, Missfergie . . . we will bid. It is the old Listia trick of not giving away your hand until the last minute. It took me awhile to catch on! (I can be slow). I am definitely bidding on this and wouldn't be surprised if there is a bit of fierce bidding at the end!

I can relate! I have a shop on Etsy and just last night I sold a vintage clock that I really loved! I had put a "this is an absolutely stupid price because I don't really want to sell it" on it and someone bought it! I guess for me this is a lesson of don't get emotionally attached to things!

This is Beautiful and Very Collectible..but it's Brass with Mother of Pearl Which is Way More Collectible than abalone..Super Piece..from India..have one like this for cigarettes...Thanks for Posting..Watching :)
