The listing, 1940'S / 50'S ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER MOTHER OF PEARL BELL BABY TEETHING RING/ RATTLER EXCELLENT! has ended.
This is a circa 1940's - 1950's Vintage sterling silver baby teething ring / rattler with a mother of pearl ring attached to it. It is in excellent condition, (please see the several pics attached to this listing). The bail that holds the mother of pearl ring and bell together is marked sterling with a W logo and a C around the W and a small "o" next to the C with an arrow going through the logo.
On the other side of the connecting bail there is a buckle design. The bell has a Victorian design design on both sides. The bell has a rattle/ ding sound when you shake it. It's around 2 7/8" inches in length with the pearl ring and around or 1 3/4" inches with the bell only.
I have not cleaned this item because I know how collectors like the old patina look. It will be the winners choice to clean or not. There are no dings on the bell and no chips in the mother of pearl. This was purchased at an Estate sale. If you do decide to clean it I am sure it should clean up very nice and shiny with a little silver polish and very little time.
