The listing, 1982 baseball card lot w/ Mets rookies & more has ended.
Here's a nice lot of eight (8) baseball cards from 1982 to add to your collection. 5 Topps & 3 Fleer.
Mets Future Stars RON GARDENHIRE, TERRY LEACH, & TIM LEARY. All 3 of these guys made their mark in the game, which is rare for 3-player rookie cards like this. Gardenhire didn't do much as a player, but has managed the Twins for the past decade. Leach was a solid reliever for 11 years and won a ring with Minnesota in 1991. Leary pitched for 13 years, highlighted by a superb 1988 when he helped lead the Dodgers to a championship.
GREG A. HARRIS (Mets) pitched for 15 years and lead the AL in games pitched in 1993 with 80 while on the Red Sox. He's best known for having once pitched using both arms in a single game. This is his rookie card.
VIDA BLUE (+ In Action) had an amazing 1971 when he won the Cy & MVP. He would go on to win 200+ games, be a 6-time All-Star, and grab 3 rings with the A's.
DAVE SMITH (Astros) pitched for 13 years, amassing 216 saves, 2 All-Star selections, and a fine career ERA of 2.67. This is his 2nd-year card.
DAVE KINGMAN (Mets) hit 442 home runs in his 16 year career, the most for any player not in the HOF from the pre-steroids era. Was first player to homer with both the New York Mets and Yankees in the same season (1977).
JERRY KOOSMAN (White Sox) pitched for 19 years, winning 222 games. In 1968 he was runner-up to Johnny Bench for ROY. The following year he led the Miracle Mets to victory, pitching outstanding in the WS. He's also known to card collectors for sharing a rookie card with Nolan Ryan.
DOYLE ALEXANDER (Giants) pitched 19 years in the bigs, leading the AL in winning percentage in 1984.
These cards are all in very nice shape, except the Vida In Action has some corner wear.
