JUST SOME INFO ON THE STONE These materials are quartz, ground to fine powder with the mineral substance of the natural mineral (for instance cobalt for the Blue Topaz) to achieve the natural mineral color. Water, heat and pressure are added to grow the crystals. Since the impurities that naturally occur in nature are not in the lab environment, the resulting material is quite clear and beautiful.

The color of these products is permanant and is consistent all the way through the piece (not a surface application). Since the material is made from quartz, it will have the same characteristics (such as hardness).
