FYI this is tricky... You can scan scratch tickets bar code to see if they are a winner without scratching the ticket... I hope this isn't some kind of scam? Sounds like it.

You have to scratch off the barcode numbers to scan. Atleast that's how it is here in Louisiana.
Not scratch the actual ticket, but at the bottom there is a bar of numbers that has to be entered when you scan it, that has to be scratched off, so you would know if it checked.

Can you just sell lottery tickets? I think there are laws about this. That said - cool auction!!!
