To prevent your cat or small dog from scratching wounds or incisions while they heal this SOFT Elizabethan type collar is an ideal alternative to those hard plastic cones you get from the vet. This is brand new with tags - never used.
Size is XSmall - 4.25 in from neck to snout. Has removable stays. Can be folded back for eating, etc.

LOL! I hate to see animals wearing these things. They look so unhappy and humiliated. But this protection really is necessary when they have have wounds that are healing

It says "is both water resistant and repellent and easy to wipe clean and dry". The shell is a heavy nylon type material and there's some kind of thick batting inside. The removable stays are vinyl, so although I wouldn't throw it in the washing machine, I think it'd be easy to clean.

Great. Good to have around since the vet once charged me $15 for a plastic one! Needless to say I kept it just in case I ever need it again. lol

that's how I ended up with two of these. A cat I was sitting for had a terrible eye infection that she was rubbing raw and that horrible hard cone from the vet just wasn't working at all. I ordered this on line but then I couldn't stand waiting for it and got one at a pet store. Definitely a good thing to have on hand.
