Found this delight at a paper mill that offering free stacks of paper. Find it and haul it :)

This is for 5 sheets of Hammermill Bond Paper. Bond Paper makes lovely hand writing paper, and is used only on lithographic presses, it has a very smooth finish that makes it too slippery for an inkjet to print on. Standard letter size.

no it's a smaller 8.5x11 sheet

oh, sorry. I didn't see that. I just asked if it was a bigger size because I've been doing lithography for 2 years now and I've never gotten paper that small for my work. Letter size seems very small for lithographic purposes, this just seems like printer paper.

I got it from a closed press shop pre-packaged thinking it was regular inkjet paper until I tried to feed it thru my inkjet! When I hold it up to the light it says Hammermill Bond Paper Made in USA on each sheet I've looked at. The press shop I got it from I believe it was shut down in 1978. (from other printed materials I picked up by mistake.) So I must guess the paper is at least vintage by now. :)

As far as printing on... I do remember working on a smaller lithographic press (offset duplicator) and that one took regular letter sized sheets.

I also have some blank embossed greeting anouncements I think intended for a letterpress again can't feed them through my inkjet very well.
