This Hankie collection consists of 5 1930s-40sVintage linen and lace handkerchiefs.

I’ll start with the smallest which measures approx 9” x 9”. It has an open worked blossom and buds in one corner and bordered with delicate flat lace. There are a couple loose areas on the lace which could easily be repaired and one amber dot on the linen which I think could be removed by washing.
The next picture is of the hand tied scalloped lace edged kerchief. It has a corner done entirely in hand croched flowers which are connected to the linen in a zig-zag fashion. It measures approx 12”x 12”. There are 3 holes in the linen on the folded areas which appear to have wron away with age.
The 3rd picture is of a finely crochet edged linen hankie that measures approx 12“ x 12“. The crochet work is very nice on this one and has somewhat of a shell design at each corner. Only a pin hole or two in this one.
The 4th pictured is very finely rolled and hemmed around all sides. There is a repeated pattern on each corner that includes cutwork and delicate ribbons. This one looks to be in perfect vintage condition with very little if any yellowing.
The last of this bunch is near perfect condition as well. It measures 12” x 12” with little x or + designs in an open area on each corner. The handkerchief edges are the feature on this one. They are doubled over and stitched in segments to resemble scalloped corners. It is difficult to describe this , but it is very simple and not frilly or too feminine. No condition issues at all.
