I slid it on without removing it from the card, to give an idea of how it looks. Pictures of a ring on its own can be misleading, and I've always appreciated being able to see how they look on a hand first. As you can see, I have also tried to take pictures from different angles. If you need a stand-in for a wedding or engagement ring, this will serve you well. I bought myself one too and it's survived a day of work without turning me green or losing the little gems.
