do you have any antistatic foam to press against the back of cpu to protect the pins during shipping if they are just in a atistic bag the pins will get bent durring shipping and on socket 478 pentium 4's like the if the pens get bent they are done cause they are so small 70 percent of the time at least one pin will snap while trying to bend it back into place

Both CPU's need to be placed in a anti-static bag plus placed in a anti-static box with anti-static foam before mailing. Just mailing these without this type of packaging will cause damage from electric shock and/or for one of the leads to get bent out of place. To straighten these leads on the CPU's is extrememly difficult and I would not recomennd attempting to straighten manually. I used to manufacture these componets while working for Motorola and they need special handling. Just touching these componets without a ground strap can destroy them by the electric shoch that your body produces normally. We had special machines that would straighten the leads on these parts and if they were out of a certain tolerance from being out of line they were scraped. please heed my advice and package these componets this way for safety. You an obtain any of these packaging maerails at any good electronic store. Sincerely, Anne

These things are fragile, but are NOT Fabrege' Eggs. A little foam over the pins and antistat bag is good enuff.

Nice auction!
These are the only CPUs I have seen on Listia that are relatively up-to-date!
However, you may or may not know this, but a CPU can be destroyed simply by touching its pins (even just one). Any small amount of static in your body can instantly destroy it even if you don't feel the static or see a spark when you touch it. If you already know this then just ignore me!
