Pretty all of my auctions include delivery confirmation.

Since this is being sent with free shipping, I will not be purchasing additional things such as insurance unless you request I do so and pay the additional fee.

Once the package leaves my hands and enters the postal service, there is nothing I can do. I do wrap all mailed items in a reasonable manner to help protect them, but cannot prevent all possible damages received during shipping.

PLEASE, DO NOT BID if you cannot contact me within 48 hours with your shipping address. If you bid and do not contact me or reply to my e-mails, your credits will be lost, you will be Blocked and you will receive negative feedback from me.

If this is not satisfactory, please do not bid on this auction.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation!

GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY BIDDING!

It has been brought to my attention that 48 hrs may be an unreasonable amount of time to expect contact from the winner of my auctions. I understand if something arises that keeps one of my winners away from their computer, and I do not actually leave any feed back until about two weeks after auction end. I prefer an e-mail as soon as possible so that I may get the item shipped out as quickly as I can, but please don't let this deter you from bidding. I will only relist an item and leave feedback if no response is given to any of my e-mails after several attempts over many days. If you have any questions regarding this, please e-mail me or comment and I will try to get back to you as quickly as I can. Thank you for looking, and best of luck in all your auctions!

Thanks! I'm sorry that your package couldn't have the delivery confirmation. It's honestly the first time I haven't be able to do that. It should get there just fine, though! It's in an envelope. Hopefully I'll be able to get some more gift cards up soon! Just want to make sure I have the money set aside so i don't have to make anyone wait. ;)

A 48 hour time limit? Seems a bit George Orwell to me. Not everyone sits on the computer 24/7. I like the item but will not bid as the conditions (to me) seem similar to Totalitarianism. The additional threat of blocking someone and receiving negative feedback from you...anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I really wanted to bid on your item. I have been saving up for something just like this. However, it was the description is what scared me away :(.

Best of luck with your auction though!!

Pt 1 of 2
Hardly 1984, but thanks for your input. Basically I just want people to communicate. It's hard when someone wins your auctions and you don't hear from them for a week or more. Do I relist it? Do I keep waiting? I'm not on my comp 24/7 either, but if I bid on an item, I obviously know when it ends and I'm going to make sure I don't keep the lister waiting for me. I've only given negative feedback a few times and each time it had been over two weeks with zero contact from either the winner or the lister, despite my numerous attempts to reach them. I typically contact a lister or winner within a few hours of auction end. I certainly don't give negative feedback within that 48 hour window. I understand things can and will happen that prevents people from replying right away. I have even had to delay some of my shipments due to personal matters, but I always made sure to let my winners know.
I mostly put that disclaimer there to encourage people to contact me so I can attempt to get their items shipped asap. Since nearly all of my items are free shipping, the only thing I need from a winner is an address. Shouldn't be too hard. Heck, if someone is bidding on an item but they're not sure when they'll be online again, they can e-mail me ahead of time with an address, or just to let me know that they may not be on for a while.

I would hope that my feed back would speak for itself as to my qualities as a Listia member. Also, that notice was written by me in my first week as a member, and, I agree, it does need to be modified. It is meant as a request and it certainly does not come across that way. I apologize for it sounding harsh, but I do my best to respect all other members and to communicate openly, and only ask that people respond in kind.
Lastly, I find it pretty rude to be compared to a form of government that treats the collective people as subordinates... I'm a pretty polite and accommodating person. If you had such an issue with my listing, you needed only to contact me privately, or to just not bid.
Again, sorry for the directness of my requests, but I really don't think I ask for anything unreasonable.
Thank you for your interest and I'm sorry that you will not be participating in an auction you were otherwise so interested in.
