Yeah, it's my husbands tank, it use to be a reef tank, but he has terminal cancer & it got to be too much for him to take care of,so we moved the reef into a 58 show & changed the 150 to a planted tank, he also has a 125 Cichlid tank...ugh so many tanks in my house lol but it keeps his mind off the cancer for a while :) Check out Tank Outlaws on fb..it's a fantastic group of people, we were just at one of their get togethers it's free :)

what kind of substrate does this need or is it a floating plant? new to the water plant world.

Can either be planted or float. It will root after every nodule..easy to root :) Substrate is Eco-Complete in our tank. Hope this helps :) Fanned back btw :)
