Black Hills South Dakota Souvenir Jewelry Set Circa 1945
Made of a Ceramic type material and enameled in bright red with a Gold Overlay. Earrings are Screw-backs in brass.
The brooch shows the 4 Presidents of Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt and Lincoln all in Gold overlay. The enamel has a crackle effect but is not crackled from age. The rest of the scene outlined in gold features pine needles and pine cones. Really quite pretty and you don't see a set like this everyday now do yah? Noticed a bit of verdigriss at the bass of the brass earrings and I will clean that off before sending on to the auction winner. Hopefully there will be a winner~ not sure the demand is high on items like this but I personally think they are pretty special.
