I have found that it depends on the variety. My spearmint takes a good week to have decent roots, the chocolate mint is a little bit different little bit longer and the other ones about a week. Where my pineapple sage (which is part of the mint family) takes about two or three weeks to get any roots at all.

I hope that helps.

Could you possibly lower the days?

I'm sorry I'm afraid I can't shorten the biding time. :( I want to make sure that the cuttings have as many roots as they can and be as healthy as they can be before I send them out.
I'm sure that you understand wanting to send out the healthiest plants possible.

Oh I sure do. I was just thinking If I win them I would need to get them planted soon. Thanks so much for explaining.

Just an odd question... how long does it take to root cuttings from mint? I have a couple of kinds by my house and I'd love to propagate them and maybe add more types.

I was planning to buy some orange mint this year. It's more expensive than the others and many places don't carry it.

I have been wanting mint in my herb garden, every time I buy a pant it dies after 5-6 week I do not know what I am doing wrong?

I do not have enough credits to bid at this time.

I grow mine in pots because mint plants are invasive they will take over everything! My advice is plant them in a larger pot and water lots!!! They love water I don't thing you can drown them. So try lots of water and mostly sunny spot. I live in FL and have found that in the summer if they get some shade during the day they are happier. I hope this helps :)
