The Tule River Indian Tribe of the Tule River Reservation is a federally recognized tribe of Native Americans. The Tule River Reservation is the name of the tribe's reservation, which is located in Tulare County, California.[1] The tribe is made of up Yokut, Western Mono, and Tubatulabal people. Tribal enrollment today is approximately 850.

And I did check with Listia's Resident arrowhead guy(you know who you are) ;) To verify it was indeed as old as i believed it is. He said he had one similar and due to the way it's knapped it is OLD.

Here's the story on this arrowhead.

Venice Hill California. late 70's
When I was a kid, maybe 8 or 9, my brother took me over the hill to check out a small indian cave. only a few feet deep and several feet wide but did have a grinding stone, some artwork on the walls and stuff. It was boarded up and protected in the mid 80's. Anyways, I found several arrowheads. quartz looking like the rest of the rocks on the hill.

From the online research I have done it looks to be a Yokut Indian arrowhead. This cave was first documented in County Historical Records in 1860

I want to share this info. with everybody too--there is a REALLY cool Youtube channel I recommend that you check out--it's called storiesbyalex and it is awesome! (finding lost civilizations--an educational series) the videos are HD I believe--and really cool! he has one about the Yokuts--"Yokuts Meeting Place--Orestimba--San Joachin Valley --California" and he also has the Miwoks and other California Tribe(lets) Coastanoans---also Arizona---cool stuff!

I have had it checked by a couple of people knowledgeable about Native American items. If you are talking about a certificate of authenticity, then no. I gave all the info I have on it in the auction details. :)

I believe this is the cave not very wide or long I think but has rounded walls kinda n has pictoglypths painted on the walls there is a Bigfoot from 500+ years ago they call him the Hairy Brother Is this where you mean?

not sure about hairy brother? but it sounds like the right place. On the back side of the hill. Lots of indian hand prints, painted deer, grinding stone near the front entrance. I wish it wasn't closed up. most people didn't know about it and my family has been friends with the property owner since before I was born. This is why we had permission to go check it out. I'd like to get back there now to be able to take pics. I haven't been there since the late 70's though. You from Tulare County?
