A lot of people probably do what I do, search the gift card auctions each day and then put in a bid during the last day or hour. I bid on a lot of them, so it's important not to tie up too many credits in advance. They also are easy to search, so you don't really need to put them on a watch list. I think you'll do fine on this by the end!
I can't remember where you started this, but in the future start your gift cards below 20 credits (or even below 10). That way people can put in watch bids. You KNOW it's going to hit WAY more than 100 credits, so I think it hurts gift card sellers to start them that high. A small watch bid keeps your item on people's bidding list, much easier to keep track of than on a watch list.
Hm. You know, I never thought of that. I never have had one go for less than 100 for sure, so any starting bid I put wouldnt hurt me. You are right about that. Thank you very much for the tip. Next time I put up a gift card auction, I think I will definitely take your advice and lower the starting bid. Thank you! :)
I throw out a lot of advice on Listia, because I like to see people who are working hard at this do well! Sometimes it ***** people off though LOL ... but I know it's a lot of work to keep Listia going, and it just isn't worth it unless you get decent results!
