The smallest size is 20G but I only have 18G and up. 20G is the size of a standard earring, so if you have pierced ears the next size logically is an 18G. Hope that this helps.

f+w thanks. Also, ALL standard ear piercings here in Maine are done with 16g's but then again I know of a few other places outside of Maine that their standard ear piercing is 18g. So really it all depends on the business most likely.

My ears can't take a 18G because it's too big. So I measured mine and they were 20G.

20g is the size of a normal nose ring. An earring is usually 18g or 16g
