do u know what it is made of and the year on it?

there is no year on it, this was given to me as a gift back in 1978, it seems to be made of a bakelite plastic or abs plastic, it is a reproduction. this phone is pretty heavy duty, yes it has some wear but it was used a short time before we got push button phones.
