I concur! But unfortunately I'm confident he'll serve out his full term and leave our country in the worst turmoil of our life time...And I know the harm he's continuing to perpetrate on this nation will be so severe that it will take generations to correct!!!! Sad Sad Sad!

Thanks GardenHawk....It give me pleasure to exercise my right to express myself which so many men have died for and now the Cracker Jack Ass wants to limit and/or take away these freedoms that our sons, daughters, brothers, sisters and fathers have laid down their lives for!

I totally agree. My little bro is back in the sandbox again, right now. I have many family/friends who are vets. I'm thankful for all they and their families have sacrificed! Blessings to you.

Yes, My husb is retired Navy. He served with the Army. Navy and Marines. Most of his svc was as a corpsman; Navy ship officer. He participated in the evacuation of Saigon and is obviously a Nam vet. My brother is a retired AF Col, F-16 pilot and trainer, serving in the Gulf war and then brought briefly out of retirement after 9/11. I have a son returning June 5th from his 5th tour in the sand box with 21 yrs in on Sept 9th....Obama just "forced" him to retire along with 40,000 others. Laid his life down over and over again and now being forced into retirement as part of defense cuts. I have a daug who participated in 2 covert tours in Columbia; one of a few females who participated in those dangerous covert operations that eventually rescued and brought home some American hostages. Another of my daughters also served in the AF and two son-in-laws; one recently retired Navy and one who served 6 years in the AF. I'm proud of my family! All of them who served our country bravely and proudly! Thank your brother for me....My thoughts and prayers are with him, you, your family. Thank You !

I'm just a brat...never served, but very grateful to all who have, and all the families who sacrificed being without and/or losing loved ones in service. It's such a shame that our government does not recognize and appreciate them as much as we do!!!

And you're the one who sacrificed being w/o your brother, not knowing from one day to the next exactly where he is and how he is....being totally glued to everything bit of news coming out of the sand box and praying every time and every second you hear of another IED, roadside bombing or news of an injured American serviceman, that it's not someone you love and then the relief you feel when you know your brother is OK. That relief is immediately followed by the heartbreak you feel for the other servicemen and their families that weren't spared this time around. All the time you hold all this inside and remain strong, never wavering, never showing what's churning inside. I've repeated this so many times over the past 30 years, through Nam, the Gulf, 9/11, Columbia and the sand boxes of Iraq and Afghanistan. God has always spared the ones I love and my last military family member, my son, will return home soon...I'll see him in June and he retires in September....His son just joined the Army a few wks ago, on April 1st. He's the 1st of the youngest generation of our family to serve. Now my prayers and focus are on him, along with your brother.

No, I've learned not to stay glued to the news. It's not healthy for anyone. I simply have faith that he is safe. He's not brother by blood but by choice, but brother nonetheless. I've learned through recent years that when dealing with a situation we have to look at whether or not it's in our control. Worry will not do anything to help the situation. Keeping a positive attitude through it all makes all the difference.

Absolutely....I agree. We have absolutely no control and it's in Gods hands. However when you attend a few services and are involved with friends who deal with this type of tragedy, it's always a concern when a child, spouse or brother is in harms way...After 30 years, it's a way of life.....

You know whats funny is that everybody has their own opinion about who is in office. Everybody will say as you say that the person in office will leave out country in turmoil. What needs to be done will not happen over night as so many people believe it will. Some should look back at how we got to where we are now and stop trying to blame the person that is trying to fix it. You will probably hit rock bottom before you climb back to the top. The person in office is not the only that makes the decision. If that was the case we would have some really ***** off people. So before you condemn him look in the past to see why the nation is the way it is. I know this might be blocked but I thought I just say how I felt. I am also a veteran and so is my husband.

VSims....First I'd like to thank and commend you and your husband for your service to country. Secondly, in response to your comments, I wouldn't block you for I'm unlike our commander in chief who would like to limit our freedom of speech along with amending other alienated rights granted to us by this nations forefathers...Interesting that he claims to have the "most transparent administration"...Kinda of funny! NOT! Another such right he'd like to limit and amend are rights under the second amendment as passed by the Congress:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. And as ratified by the States and authenticated by Thomas Jefferson, Secretary of State:
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
It's pretty obvious that the right to bare arms is particularly to protect ourselves from government, just as the red coats confiscated guns and weapons.
As far as "looking back" that's precisely a concern and great example as it was prior democratic administrations that mandated and forced financial institutions to provide mortgages to minorities and low income families so they could own homes that they couldn't afford and were unable to understand the terms. There's so much more I'd like to say but won't because this isn't the place to debate and I'm not a debater.
