The listing, Shriner's HAT Lot 2 fez & 1 small pillbox shape circa 1958 has ended.
They are in good shape The AL KADER fez has a size 7 label in it. by process of interpolation I calculate the other fez, the "jeweled" EL JEBEL fez, to be size 7-1/4, as the smaller cap has a label inside showing its a size 7-1/8. . this is also known as the Goldilocks Method of sizing. AND IT WORKS. condition of all is very good with few exceptions.
Only the EL JEBEL hat is "jeweled",. The tassels on both of the fez's are intact and good, the AL KADER hat has metallic gold thread comprising the letters, some if which was tarnished and has been retouched with gold acrylic paint. I have seen the smaller hat for sale locally here (also 1958) for $25 each it's from the Free Masons (or is it freemasons? 1 word)?? ) 32nd degree.. there is a red triangle with # 32 on it on the eagles' front, this hat has the lining stitching loose (gone) in rear half of hat, and the Freemason's name inside VIRD A. ROBERTS, is embroidered into the lining (silk I think)
anyway thje lining tucks into the inner leather band so there is no need to restitch it 1 side of the double eagle medallion-patch is also unstitched but it stays perfectly inplace as is, so again no need to restitch...All 3 hats have intact leather inner bands. It is $5.85 for US Priority Mail, which does not include insurance. they will ship flat as seen in next to last pic, in a Large Priority Mail envelope, and shipping cost can be Paypal'd OR snailmailed with money order or whatever you need to send... checks need to clear obviously, before mailing. am flexible as to your choice of method of payment, no worries here. Thanks for viewing a rejunkers auction. I think I may still have Shriner's cufflinks with the sword and crescent moon like the fez's have, if I find them I will throw them in as a BONUS ITEM ! ... IF I find... they could be buried among Barbie's, Fire King & Pyrex Bowls, who knows... but I will look. ,.., for you.
