2 quarters from the "AmericaThe Beautiful Quarters Program" National Parks collection- Hawaii and Washington.
On the Olympic National Park Quarter from Washington state, chosen design shows one of the park’s most iconic creatures, a Roosevelt Elk, standing on a gravel bar of the Hoh River. Off in the distance, Mount Olympus is depicted. Surrounding the design are the inscriptions of OLYMPIC, WASHINGTON, E PLURIBUS UNUM and 2011.
Designed and sculpted by Charles L. Vickers, the reverse of the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park Quarter depicts an eruption on the east rift of Kilauea Volcano. Inscriptions include HAWAI’I VOLCANOES, HAWAII, 2012 and E PLURIBUS UNUM.
