Description

The listing, Portrait of You! has ended.

You are bidding on a one of a kind item, a pastel portrait of you or your loved ones. The winner sends me a photo of his or her choice, and I will bring it to life in pastel. I will then mail you the original 11x14 print, free of charge. These make great birthday presents, wedding/anniversary gifts, and memorials of your loved ones, too!
Questions & Comments

Well, the reason I started bidding on these in the first place was because I WANT the pastel, not a copy. It'll probably get to 15,000 anyway. But I'll be out if it does, since I'm currently around 14,500. I was thinking of suggesting a higher minimum bid, but if it gets to 15,000 and you're losing, it doesn't matter where bidding started. How much does it cost to ship?

thanks! remember, it has to reach 15000 to qualify for the original. But I can assure you the prints are really nice too, and they will never smudge. At 20000, you get both!

Shipping cost me 12.00 last time, but I don't mind. I am getting my artwork out there into the world, and having a great time doing it! Plus, I get to keep a print of each portrait to add to my portfolio. It's filling up with all your beautiful faces! Love it.

Its not just people not bidding on auctions that aren't free shipping, you can actually check a box on the left to filter them out, so many people wouldn't even see your auction that way.

Ok...So here's the deal I am settling on for this auction. If bidding is under 15,000, you get a high quality copy of your portrait. If it reaches 15,000, you get the original pastel, not just a copy. And...if it gets to 20,000, I will include a free copy with the original for you to share. Shipping is still free!

You're right about that. I only bid on free shipping items too. I would much rather keep shipping free. I have to find a cheaper way to ship, or else I'll just have to start listing with a higher minimum bid and see what happens.

If I had PayPal, it would. A lot of people on here filter out auctions by whether they have free shipping, because some people will take your money and disappear. So if "free shipping" is not checked, you may actually not do as well. You can try it, but if bids only get to 4000 creds, keep in mind that might be why.

well, after this auction, I might have to raise the stakes, or charge shipping. I am actually losing money here, so I need to figure out an alternative solution. I'm setting up paypal, so you can place cash orders if you don't win the auction. sound good?

I spent all my credits on video games for my kids and a gift for my mother-in-law, now I've got to wait for my current auctions to end and hope they're enough.

Yeah, I was just curious, because I've got lots of family in LA (and some in SD too).

funny, right? and sometimes we say it's So Cali! my ancestors actually came from Poland, so that's cool. I'm in San Diego just so you know.

omg, I just got it. It puts you in a village called "Socaly".

This is so weird. Your location says socal, so I click the map to see where in socal, and Google Maps comes up saying you're in some village in Poland lol
