you put water in them like regular ice cube trays and they make shot glasses. I've used these a few times for parties. very cool and a great conversation piece. If I get over 1000 I will throw in some free regular shot glasses.

It makes up to 12 at a time. There's a little tray you can sit them in to keep them frozen and to put them in whenever there's liquor in them so they don't melt everywhere. They're great for just using and then throwing in the sink. Whenever I knew I was going to have a party I'd make about 30 or 40 of them and just put them in the ice box in the freezer until I was ready to use them. They're a very clever idea.
