2011 marks the 150th birthday of Dr. Jose P. Rizal, the National Hero of the Philippines.
To commemorate this event, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas minted a commemorative 1 Peso coin in remembrance of our hero’s birth.
This coin features the new logo of Bangko Sentral.
The logo features an outline of the Philippine Eagle with three stars on the lower left side.
