I don't recommend hartz for any animal. http://www.hartzvictims.org/ I honestly don't know why they're still selling it...

i think we are all grownups here and we all have the right to choose what products we will use. i normally dont use this brand but i dont think there anything wrong with it, i am an animal lover and i wouldnt list something that would ever harm a pet. just like the other person you wrote this to said, maybe the website is untrue

I wasn't trying to sabatoge your auction or anything, I just wanted the potential winner of it to be aware before using it on their pet. There have been a lot of cases of animals getting sick and dying because of this brand. That website is completely true, if you google just the word "hartz" it's the first result that comes up after the company name. There are numerous sources all over the web and I encourage you to look into them.

Now, that's not to say it didn't harm your animal, and it may not harm the winner's, but I feel it's a good thing to know, that way if there are adverse reactions, that person will immediately know what is wrong. I wasn't trying to cause a conflict, just wanting to spread some knowledge and I apologize.

I agree with the first comment. I wouldnt recommend using this product. They have had several recalls and top that off I used it not to long ago and my dog started foaming at the mouth. So I had to call the vet and see what I could do.. Luckly, after an hour of giving her bread and lots of water she had stopped. it was an allergic reaction it was something they use in it and it listed some of that stuff online as well. Yes we are all adults and we can choose what products to give dogs, but i honeslty recommend Frontline Plus! :) Like Chucksbaby im not trying to sabbatoge auctions.. just giving my opinion and wanting people know how this product is.. OH and even the Hartz shampoos are bad too..

Chucksbaby and KelleyMarie9406 are bunch of haters. I use hartz all the time for my dogs and I have not had not problems with the products. I even use the medicated shampoo and it works wonders on my dogs. If the products were so bad, why then they keep on selling it? Stop hating, after all, these products are free. So why complain, jerks!

ok, *personal results* i have used hartz medication on my shih tzu on about 2 or 3 occasions, i also use the shampoos regularly for my shih tzu and pitbull and ive never had issues with any at all. I understand that these are side effects that could happen and it is also my understanding that all medication comes with risks. -bottom line: if you have used hartz before then your pet should be fine because they are abviously not allergic, if you have never used it before then please think twice before bidding just to appease these people-. I dont want my auction to turn into a battlefield so if you have the same opinion as the first two comentors please keep it to yourself, i dont want to seem rude but i think we all get the point.
thanks moonbase21 for trying to help, no need to call names but thanks none the less :)

p.s. like i said before i have used this medication only a few times and i think frontline is just as effective as hartz, the only brand i would recommend is Advantage pricier but worth it, i think.
