The listing, Silver Butterfly Ring-Size 7 has ended.

This is a beautiful butterfly ring. It is not sterling but rather 80% silver. Sterling, by law, must be 92.5 % silver.
Jewelers are using the lesser amount today to reduce the cost of their product. I have worn several such pieces for several years and have no trouble with them at all. They do not tarnish as fast as 92% and they cleam up in silver cleaner when they do. Size 7

Just FYI: Most, if not all, items marked "S80" are silver plated, not 80% silver. The term comes from the 80% solution of a chemical they use to plate it. Not from actual silver content. If you buy from Mexico it is 80% silver or what is called "dirty" silver. But, it will say 80 or 80.0 on it. Not S80.
