FREE: Bronze Chinese Necklace

I absolutely love this necklace! I'd keep it for myself, but I keep forgetting I have it. I want to give it to someone who would appreciate it :)
I'm not sure what the metal is. It looks copper or bronze - whatever it is, it's slightly heavy, but certainly not pure copper or bronze.
I'm also not sure if it's an actual antique, but it does appear that it might be!
I found it at a thrift store. At some point the original chain broke and whoever owned it tied it onto a black cord so they could keep wearing it. It tried to put it on, but my neck is a bit fat and it was pretty tight. This is easy to fix, just cut the cord off and connect both sides to a new chain! I would do it myself, but I figured since I was putting it on Lisita, I didn't want to ruin it for anyone who likes it as is :)
The picture on the pendant is supposed to be like an old Chinese panting. To me it looks like cloudy mountains and trees - but it may look like something else to you! There's a design on the back as well, but just a simple repetitive pattern.
