Description

The listing, US STAMP LOT *Value Unknown* READ CAREFULLY!! has ended.

Ok.....First off I will be upfront and tell you that I know absolutely nothing about stamps. The value of this lot is unknown as well as the condition of the stamps! I am not a stamp expert. Please bid based on your own background information and the pictures provided. I will try to describe the best that I can verbally and by pictures. What you see is what you get for their will be no refunds!!

The lot up for auction is loose pages out off a binder entitled American Heirloom Collection of United States Stamps. Some pages only have one stamp and some have multiple stamps. From what I can tell most of them look used. These were found in a chest in an old barn so I honestly don't know their value; therefore I will not entertain any GIN offers unless you want to offer me 500,000 credits LOL. I will keep updating with stamps and pictures as the auction comes along so stay tuned.

Happy Bidding! I will try to entertain all questions but please remember people that I do have a life beyond Listia. Also, this will weigh a decent amount because I will be shipping you the entire page(s) as to not disrupt the stamps, but I will still include free shipping so please keep that in mind while placing your bids.

(keep in mind I'm going off of where they are on the page and which page they are on) So please do your own research!!

The 2 cent Washington stamp that is your primary picture was actually used well before gwendolyn mentioned. I have one on a postcard dated May 14, 1928. The USPS still uses old stamps if necessary, but with the number of new annual releases, the need is very minimal. F&W.

WTF are you doing. These are some amazing stamps. You need not put them on listia, E-bay, or a collector would far exceed your expectations. One of your stamps alone could be worth over 1,000 dollars.

I believe i'm holding a Listia auction, but who knows........That would be cool if one was worth that much; at least for the winner of this auction....My lack of knowledge is someone else's gain :)

@Mike3303 ... it says Bank Check on the bottom from what I can see

The stamp jtsi45 questioned is a revenue stamp rather than postage stamp. I believe it says banknote but not sure which revenue it is but from before 1900. Still very collectible stamp. Hope that helps with confusion and clarifies what the stamp is. Good luck with the auction. It should result in several high bids.

nice auction-unfortunately, the stamp you show from 1851-56- is not correct---i own the early series stamps in mint condition-like you said you YOU KNOW nothing about stamps---to insure the confidence of bidders and to enable them to see the items that they are bidding on,- would greatly be appreciated-it is difficult to see with the size pictures you post

Thanks for the information and your input. I'm sure the other bidders will appreciate it. I have alot more stamps to list and a lot more pictures so hopefully those turned out better.
