If it's a total manual then it will fit pentax some 80's Russian cameras some chinons and some sear slrs fro mid 70's through the 80's

so, this is a Pentax brand zoom lens, could you take a close pic of the front so i can read what it says around the front of the lens, or it you dont want to mess with a pic could you please message what the front of the lens says. I can only see f=80-200mm, does it say auto or mc (multicoated) and like 2.8/3.5 etc....I just need what it says minus the serial number i dont need that. And just want to make sure this one is a pentax lens because the your other auction has a pentax camera but an albinar lens. do you know the lens mount, if its pentax its probably a pk mount.? And is the inside glass clean and clear of dirt, dust haze seperation marks of any kind? and does the lens work properly, aperature blades and focusing? Sorry all the questions, I have to ask on old slr's. Thank you for your time. :)

There are photos posted, but I believe it is bayonet mount. See photos #9, 11 and 12. Not positive, but I think so.

I won a Petax lens for my camera only to find out..It came off a 35mm film Pentax. And mine is digital Pentax. If you can take the mount end cap off and post a couple of pics. that will answer alot of question.

does it have any type of button or switch on the lens (it may be on the side and say M or something like it) if so, it can switch from auto to manual? Any idea if it is a M42 screw mount ? Anyone know? Thank you so much for your extra pictures and info. I appreciate it. :)

on the side of the lens there is a little silver button you push in. Will post pictures when I get to work.

Okay, on the front of the zoom lens here is the information
JCPenny MC Auto Zoom 1:3.9 F=80-200mm 55 No 85153222

I am assuming it is not a manual lense, but auto zoom. Multicoated
It does have Pentax written in silver on the outside of the lens. Other than that the glass and lens are clean and clear of dirt, no other marks. Everything seems to be working fine.

How old is your Sony? Sony bought out Minolta Konica in the early 2000's and took over making the slr's in 2006 so the pentax lens won't fit your camera!!! However depending how old the lens is, whether it's a total manual or both autofocus and manual. It may fit older pentax and certain chinon,sears store brand cameras,and some other lesser name Japanese and Russian cameras!!! If it's autofocus it may work on some pentax digital cameras!!
