These are Family Radio Service (FRS) and General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS) Radios in a wrist-watch form factor. (You can use the FRS channels (1-14) without an FCC license.)

The manufacturer claims 1.5 mile range, voice activated operation (I never got that to work) and a few other cool features including a back-light LCD display, 38 CTCSS codes and hours of operation on a single charge. (Don't forget it is also a watch!)

I bought these a while ago on Woot! and barely used them. They were too heavy to be comfortable and too complicated for most of my family. (It is hard to use these if you are only talking to yourself...)

The units have some very minor scratches and seem to work fine.

Included are both watches and chargers.

Yes this is a cool auction . I had these a few months ago for our K-9 SAR team and they were a little chunky and did catch on the elm. We used. However keep in mind in case of an emergency or emergency or Evan keep tabs on your kid they are the perfect items to have .

No. (I'll keep searching my desk in case I still have it.)

The basic operation (Setting time and changing channels) is pretty straight forward. Anything else is beyond me.

Yes, these are "walkie talkies" in wrist watch form factor.

The fact that they are FRS/GMRS means they will interoperate with a large number of other similar radios.

I found the radios really big and heavy to wear; they might get in your way if you need your hands. (Something close to 4oz and about an inch thick, I think.)
