The listing, Vintage Bronze Brass Cross Crucifix face of Jesus on front. Inscribed "PAS DE PAIX SANS DIEU" has ended.

This is a GORGEOUS VERY OLD VINTAGE BRASS BRONZE LARGE CROSS CRUCIFIX PENDANT. Possibly Antique, but I cannot date it that far back. I believe it came from Belgium.

Maybe someone on Listia knows something about Art Deco Ormolu? I can't seem to place it, as such. It is an amazing piece that has been literally sitting in my drawer for decades. The Inner Cross as you can see is smooth.
Three different "designs" layer or surround the Cross.
What is incredible is the Face of Jesus, beautifully detailed was made to stand out about 2/16" at most from the Cross. There are 4 "areas" of a Dark Red, still very visible at the top and sides of Jesus' head.

The back of this Cross is detailed with recessed or indented Doves and Vines.

The Center appears(to me) to be a "flower" with a center and 5 Petals, but there is some Very Small writing or symbols, I cannot make out with the magnifier I use.

Inscribed on the Circle, around the flower, is:

"PAS DE PAIX SANS DIEU" which Translates to "NO PEACE WITHOUT GOD."

This Cross has a bail at he top. I added a larger round brass jump ring, so it would hang nicely, but never wore it. It is fairly heavy, weighs 26g

Measures: Height: 2.75" Width, at it's widest: 2.25"
An Old & Stunning piece that has never really been worn. I thought about it for a long time, prior to Listing, but decided it would be better off with someone who would enjoy it.

Hi, I looked & looked. Most of what I saw on the edges of the Cross, toward the top look like designs of some type. On the bail which is part of the Cross, I did see at the very top and at each "rounded" side what looks like markings, but I still could not make out what they are. I did take a few pictures, hoping that the camera could "see" what I cannot. I will post them later this afternoon. I cannot guarantee that they will be visible, but I will post them anyway. Thank you! It truly is beautiful. I have had this some 30 yrs & never looked very closely until I took some pictures about a year ago, thinking of listing it. After it sat another year, I finally hit "submit!" On the 3rd try! As far as markings, I saw or saw partial either letters or possibly parts of a design? So tiny. I could not make any of them out( with my magnifier) I will be in my office for a bit, shortly. We have a "lighted" much larger magnifier which may help. So, if you check back in about an hour, or less, I will let you know if I can see any. Thanks again!

HI EVERYONE! I Finally was able to get a picture, on the attached bail, which "shows" some possible "marking" not a design. I should be home in 1 hour & will try to post it, if it is not too late to. I still cannot make it out. It may have some or no meaning? As this piece is so very old! Thanks
