The gift certificates never expire but are non-transferable. They are processed through paypal so make sure the email address provided upon winning the auction is the same email the purchaser uses to login to his/her paypal account.

Not silly at all!
Our shopping cart uses PayPal to process orders so at checkout you would select "PayPal Express Checkout" which would take you to PayPal where you can select your gift card.

However, I have just devised a simpler method that I will use for everything after this auction. Instead of doing the gift card through PayPal I can create a unique one-time use coupon code for the winner that can be entered on our checkout page.

The winning bidder will transfer the final credit amount to Listia but you will not have to pay shipping on the gift card.
Then the winner can use the gift card on our site. Any poster on the site costs $9-29 plus $5 shipping depending on the size. The 5ft x 3 ft vinyl team banners cost $99.

Yes, the gift card can be used to cover shipping costs as well. If your purchase is under $25 the gift card will retain the balance for future purchases.
