This is a 2009 Playoff Contenders "Playoff Ticket" card for Cardinals QB Kurt Warner.

Kurt Warner is one of football's greatest legends, a modern day Joe Namath.
Undrafted in 1994, Warner stocked shelves at a local grocery for $5.50 an hour until he got a job in Arena League football. The Rams picked him up from the AFL during the 1998 season. When he got his chance in 1999, having only thrown 11 NFL passes in 1998, Warner was nothing less than stellar.
He led the Rams, a perennial pushover, on a charge to the to a Super Bowl championship where he threw for a Super Bowl record 414 yards. He was awarded with an MVP award and Super Bowl MVP.
Despite breaking his hand and splitting time with Trent Green, the Rams returned to the playoffs in 2000 and to the Super Bowl again at the end of 2001. After slowing a bit with a broken finger in 2002-2003, he was shuffled to New York and played half a season with the Giants ... then moved to Arizona as a mentor for the perennial loser Cardinals. There, he split starting duties with the young QBs whom he mentored.
Out of options, the Cards made him the starter at the start of the 2008 season, and again he did the unthinkable by leading the Cardinals to their first ever Super Bowl.
It was only the 3rd season that Warner had started all 16 games ... and his third season of leading a team to a Super Bowl.
Concussed in 2009, Warner was up and down, but the Cardinals returned to the playoffs. Warner retired after the season due to the effects of the concussion.
Over 32,000 yards. Over 200 touchdowns. 3 Super Bowls.
This guy will get a nod for the Hall of Fame.
