Some friendly advice for a beginner. Get a Red Book. It lists all U.S. coins and what they were made of. With the exception of the 1942 P through the 1945 S, there has never been a silver Jefferson nickel issued by the U.S. Mint. The 1962 dime, Quarter, and Half Dollar were 90% Silver.

100% pure silver 1962 silver coins have thhe highest persent of silver of any other silver coins from what the internet says im just now getting into coins. so im just now learning

No silver at all in a 1962 nickle but it does have a mint mark it is on the reverse at the right side of montecello house ,that is what president jefferson named his mansion so look , it is probably a d mint !!!!
