I know it connects to a laptop or desktop using a USB 2.0 connection. Maximum performance requires use with Wireless-G routers. Hope this helps

Is this something I would plug into my laptop and then into a reg not router modem? I have cable but the modem doens't have a router included with it. I modem does have a place to plug a cord into it. Would it work with my modem?
